Night follows with the best live music along with DJ set during the break playing Bachata, Salsa, Cumbia, and more! Let’s enjoy the evening sky! Great food available till 10pm. About Tiburon: The Austin based Salsa / Latin Jazz band “TIBURON” brings to you the true sound of “Salsa Dura”. This group interprets all genres of Latin music, blending the styles and rhythms of Afro-Cuban and Puerto Rican roots music with the excitement and improvisation of American Jazz. By combining the hot sounds of salsa, rumba, mambo, bolero, cha-cha-cha, funk and jazz, Tiburon always presents fresh elements and new musical perspectives with a distinct energy all its own.
The members of Tiburon bring their talents from the musical traditions of their homelands which include Puerto Rico, Cuba and the United States. Their collective expertise combines the Afro-Caribbean traditions of Cuba, the percussive improvisation of Puerto Rico and the roots of Jazz from the USA, resulting in an end product that has an authentic Caribbean foundation while being innovative and unique.
The instrumentation of Tiburon is comprised of Piano, Percussion, Bass, Vocals and a 3 to 5 piece Horn Section. This instrument configuration is one of various that can be presented. This fresh ensemble allows for a wide dynamic range while providing the depth of sound to perform a plethora of styles in a traditional yet improvisational format.
