What is Chacarera?  Chacarera is fun and easy to learn traditional Argentine folk dance! The origins of the dance and music come from a state called Santiago del Estero, often considered the rural, folkloric counterpart to tango. Performed in pairs, it involves energetic, flirtatious movements, including clapping, circling, and stamping, with women swaying skirts and men performing intricate footwork (zapateo).

What is a milonga? A milonga is a popular social event where people of all levels dance tangos, vals, or milongas! No partner is needed to come to a milonga. At Esquina Tango there is no dress code; you can wear your nice evening attire or relaxed jeans…we welcome you all! Leading and following are available to all, regardless of gender.
